Problem:
This heritage building in downtown Vancouver had several hallway and lobby floors that were carpeted. During a renovation they discovered that under the carpet was an original Terrazzo floor. As you can see from the pictures, it was covered in carpet glue and had several cracks throughout. The question was, could this be restored to a new condition? We were called in to assess the situation and provide a solution.
Solution:
Once the carpet was all removed, we carefully protected the surrounding walls. We repaired the cracks, diamond honed the terrazzo then polished it back to better than new condition. The clients were thrilled with the end results. Many of the building residents who saw the finished product then requested us to do sections of terrazzo they had in their suites.
